The Fall Program for Freshmen Berkeley Campus
You live on campus.
You take smaller classes.
Berkeley is ready for you to explore.
Join our small, thriving learning community where great young minds embark on an intellectual journey of a lifetime—at one of the best universities in the world. Our alumni get higher GPAs and graduate at a higher rate than their peers. Why? Because they get the best possible start.
Our small class sizes provide a lot of benefits for you as a brand-new freshman. Most of our classes take place in one building, just a few blocks from the main UC Berkeley campus. For one semester, you get to take classes with the same 800 people, seeing the same faces in several of your classes. Most of our instructors and all of our advisors hold office hours right on site.
At the same time you enjoy all of the perks of campus life: access to an amazing library system, more than 1,000 student organizations—including Greek life—resources and programming for students at all levels, and research projects in fields from environmental science to art history to integrative biology. You also get access to all the same services as other UC Berkeley students, including health services, tutoring, sports facilities and more!
You live on campus. You take classes on a smaller campus. The dynamic, multicultural city of Berkeley is here for you to explore.
Ready to get more out of Berkeley? Start your Berkeley education with FPF!
"FPF is a wonderful program. I love how small and individual it feels while also allowing one to experience campus. I'm glad to have been an FPF student."
—Christie Matsumo, FPF alumna
