San Francisco Transportation
FPF San Francisco students have two primary public transportation options available to get to 160 Spear Street for classes in the city from the UC Berkeley main campus and residence halls.
All UC Berkeley students receive a Class Pass, which includes free transbay AC transit between Berkeley and your San Francisco classes. Students who take AC transit will arrive at the San Francisco Temporary Transbay Terminal, a short two-minute walk across the street to the Spear Street building. The commute door-to-door from Unit 3 is roughly 60 minutes, depending on the time of day that you are traveling.
FPF San Francisco students also have the option to take the BART train to the city. Students who take BART to the city will arrive at the Embarcadero stop, a 7-minute walk from the Spear Street building. The commute door-to-door from Unit 3 is roughly 40 minutes. BART is not free for UC Berkeley students. You can purchase $48 BART tickets discounted to $43 at the UC Berkeley Parking and Transportation office.
